Very sweet matly aroma wine some light piney soapy hops. Thick lacing, loads of retention. Almost no bitterness, caramel malts and soapy hops end it off. Meh.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, crisp hoppy and light malty presence. Bitter, crisp hoppy and light citrusy. Medium dry and bitter into a mild malty finish.

Bottle thanks to Arch. Pours clear amber. Frothy off white head. Nose/taste of very sweet caramel malt and hops. Dryish finish. Very sweet.

Bouteille 341ml. De couleur ambrée et claire. Nez malté de caramel sucré, de houblon citrique (pamplemousse), légèrement terreux, aux notes herbeuses et résineuses, léger de biscuits, de toffee et de fruits (agrumes). Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture aux notes huileuses et crémeuses. Moyen goût fruité (agrumes) accompagné d’une moyenne amertume de houblon terreux et moyennement citrique (pamplemousse, une amertume présente toute la gorgée) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût malté de caramel avec un léger goût de biscuits et des notes de toffee puis en finale l’amertume de houblon reprend le dessus en étant asséchante, légèrement herbeuse (herbes fraîches) et aux petites notes résineuses. Post-goût moyen-long et un peu sec, moyennement amer de houblon égèrement terreux et citrique avec des notes fruitées (zest d’agrumes).

Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of bitter and citrus hops is more pronounced then I was expecting but still very enjoyable. Taste is a nice enough mix between hoppy notes with bitter and lightly citrusy flavour and some big caramel malt backbone. Body is fuller then I would have expected with great carbonation. Well brewed and quite refreshing for the summertime but also hoppier then the style would suggest.

A golden amber ale with a thin light moka head. A classic aroma of pinhey hops, subdued and balanced, with grainy caramel malt. In mouth, a good classy hoppy quaffer, with caramel malt, berry esters, barley candy, and citrusy hops, lightly oily. Medium bodied.
