On tap at Brauhaus Lemke, Hackescher Markt, Berlin. Hazy orange with a white head. Fruity banana aroma with wheaty notes and hints of spices. Moderate to medium sweet with a dryish finish. Hints of sourness. Refreshing, but nothing special. (2014-08-03)

Had this at Brauhaus Lemke am Hackescher Markt, Mitte, Berlin, Germany Friday 15th November 2013 Mid gold in colour with the merest haze like the other beer this looks good. Nose is a little spritzy with some soft mushy fruit salad and a little sweet chutney, great aroma. Soft in the mouth its good but the aroma promises much more. Light fruity and with a tartness at the edges, a slight bitter edge, mmhh.. ok. Music Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, followed by late eighties Queen, so other brewpub Brauhaus Mitte wins on music so far with The The. A8 A4 T5 P3 Ov13 3.3

Taken in the Dickenstr/Railway arches outlet (Berlin) during Feb 2013. Cloudy, murky and misty: orange/light amber/golden sort of colouring, white fading head on top. The smell was mostly of bananas with hints of cloves and vanilla: typical Weizen really, only this beers aromas were not overly strong compared to others I’ve come across. The taste was semi-dry with the same feel as the nose flavour wise. A better than average Weizen without setting the world alight.

On tap at the brewpub, as Weizen. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, spicy, cloves, a bit cloying. Flavour is also sweet, spicy, some banana, clove, sugar, cloying. Light-bodied. Meh..

Tap at the brewpub, Berlin. Pours a truly hazy gold with a moderate, white head. Big wheat nose, light tang, yeast, banana. Medium sweet flavor, nice wheat, nice toast, mild yeast, light banana. Medium in body with average carbonation. Crisp, light dry finish, wheat and yeast, bread, light spices. Very, very good stuff. I like the subtle dryness.

On tap at Brauhaus Mitte in October. Cloudy golden with a small white head. Grainy and fruity aroma with both DMS and a lot of yeast. Sweet malty flavour with little character.

Beer No. 38 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy yellow/orange coloured, small white head, not so typical pretty neutral nose. Moderate yeasty, fruity and light spicy with hint of banana in the finish.
