Bottle from Westmere in Albany, NY.
This was poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance was a cloudy burnt orange color with a fluffy white head that fell off to leave a ton of messy lace.
The aroma had some caramel/biscuit malty dryness, orange marmalade, coriander, light honey and had some grassy bitter ends.
The flavor was mildly malty dry sweet with a little bit of spice trying to make its way into the blend. Aftertaste was all about the malts and that followed into the finish.
The palate was medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine, somewhat low, but I get it. ABV felt good.
Overall, seems like an American brewer tried to take an English pale ale to make more interesting for the American market. Me, well, not sure, left me scratching my beard a little bit.

Bottle thanks to Tooch! Pours cloudy amber orange with a huge gigantic puffy off-white head that slowly dissipates leaving sticky lumpy lacing everywhere. Aroma is a bit odd, orange and coriander for sure, plus caramel, biscuit, honey, cardboard, pepper. Flavor is light sweet and light bitter, interesting enough, a bit of honey and orange zest, not much spice. Lightish body, way too carbonated; let it sit for 20 minutes to enjoy. Interesting, but not great.

Sample (as Majestic) from batch #84 at Kurtkeller 004: Pipeworks-tastic 01 on 01/18/2014. The beer pours a clear pale yellow-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, caramel and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, citrus and hops. The finish is semi-sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Hazy amber beer with a tidy off white head. Palate is semi dry and crispy. Minerals and a trace of spice to start. A little orange and peach. Malt turns a little papery. Semi dry finish. Mild bitter linger. Messy and disjointed. A rare Pipeworks fail.

22 oz. bottle served in a snifter. Batch #52. Wow the number 1 in English Pale Ale, well, Holy hell. The aroma is full of lemon and other citrus hops, some spices and pine resin. Taste is vinous and grape like. Also has a dank old hop taste. Citrus notes. And I looked at older ratings and indeed this is an old bottle (not happy about that fact) A long dry finish. Medium body. Would love to know what this would have tasted like in Nov of last year.

Murky burnt plum brown, minimal head. Very earthy, grapefruit and slightly cheese rind. Taste is citrus with some grape skins. musky and dry. Pretty smooth for 7% minimal bitterness. (how old is this?)

Pours a rather cloudy, golden-yellow, with good-sized head. Some floral hop aroma. Flavor is fairly smooth, with hops and malt sweetness, along with some strange spice tangs in the background--coriander and orange peel, perhaps? Doesn’t really taste that much like a pale ale. More like a witbier or something on those lines. Interesting but not my favorite.

2000th American Beer Reviewed! From bottle at the FoBAB documentary party. Actually the last Pipeworks beer I tested, but I just want to enter ratings while I have time. Very pungent tropical fruit aroma, maybe gooseberry. Slight foam on top of a dense beer. Nelson Sauvin hops plus the citrus make it quite fruity, with kiwi on top of the nose. Malt does not quite back up the hops, so they stand by themselves.
