Unser West Coast IPA.

Tap at Drinksmith. Clooudy brown-amber. Muddy and ugly. Nose is lemon, orange, caramel, rich malts, very fruity and citrusy. Flavor is caramel, grass, something a bit off and sour. Oily body. Seems slightly infected, although I must say it almost goes well with the hops used and doesn’t taste so bad. Otherwise, a rather old school IPA.

Draught at Stone Berlin. Slightly hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with citrus fruit, tropical impressions, a lightly toasted note. Peppers. Pineapple. Taste is bitter. Dry, fruity finish. Good filling mouthfeel. Very nice.

Bottle. Color: Golden, off-white head. Taste: Over medium floral, grassy and lightly citrus hopbitterness. Nicely balanced. Pretty strong bitter mouthfeel at finish. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Very tasty IPA.

Pours orange from the bottle. A tall, sudsy, foamy head lingers amidst a webbed lacing. Optically about perfect. Aroma is full of ripe peach. Taste is bittersweet with the bitter taking the upper hand, particularly going into the finish. Body is medium, carbonation is soft. Süffig. A light warmth rounds out the end. Overall quite nice.

On tap at Godec Pub, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out earthy, piney hops and biscuity malt. Flavour reveals punchy piney hops, with a crisp biscuity malt backbone. Piney and crisp. Very good.

Bottle from Germany. Cloudy orange amber under a small lingering off white head. Nose is citrus and tropical fruit with orange peel, mango, tangerine and passion fruit prominent along with some light caramel, some stone fruit, resin and some honey. Light+ honey and caramel sweetness and a medium+ citrus and pine bitterness. Mouth is medium and sticky with average carbonation and a long chewy bitter finish. 8/4-/8-/4/15
