Draught @ the taproom. Clear dark yellow with a small frothy off-white head, very faint citrus aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter orange peel taste, thin body, long finish. Solid IPA.

On tap at Begyle, pours a clear copper golden with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out earthy hops, a touch of pine, and soft bready malt. Flavour reveals a very nice, bright and harmonious blend of hop notes: lots of dankness, some pine, some citrus, and a bit of stone fruits. Bright, assertive and harmonious. Really nice IPA.

12 oz. can dated 9/17/20. Golden American pale ale color, lots of floaty bits under a big frothy head. Smell is the usual tiny and resony hops, with a note of citrus juice and some fresh–cut grass. The taste is an expected hop bomb, but I get a note of cream ale to it, and there is still a nice side of toasty malts. Plenty of hops remain at the front, as advertised.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 7/28/2017. Pours slightly hazy medium orange/amber color with 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel citrus rind, pepper, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 7%. Overall this is an excellent IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very Midwest feeling IPA all around, never overly aggressive. Very juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank hops; with a balancing bready malt body, and no residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering.

12th July 2014
Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is minerally crisp, sharp carbonation. Light layer of creamy malt with a touch of sweetness on the back end. Hops are beguiling mix of mild skunk, light pine and mellow tropical fruits with all the elements in good balance. Finishes smoother with the creamy malt becoming more prominent and the hops turning somewhat minty. A very nice IPA that doesn’t slap you round the chops but has plenty of good hop flavour. Super drinkable.

Bottle - Earthy hop aroma with pine and tropical fruit. Dark clear copper with a foamy white head. Up front bitterness and tropical fruit with that vegetal earthy hoppiness. A nice but average IPA.
