Thanks to my SS for this one. Pours a murky dark yellow, with a soapy white head that falls quickly. Beautiful lacing. Sweet caramel malt aroma, with orange marmalade, cinnamon, and some pepper. A big cinnamon and clove flavor hits the tongue first. Overall, this is lightly sweet with little bitterness or dryness to it. Pleasurable, easy drinking. . . Bottle from cbkschubert; nose of yeast, spices, and some lemon; cloudy yellow with a small white head; falvor of cinnamon/lemon cookies, with a bit of hops in the finish from a nice bodies saison!

Bottle. Golden-orange, a bit unclear body with a nice, white head. Both flavor and aroma are too much on the cinnamon side, way too much, but it isn’t bad, it’s just too much. The flavor is sweet and sugary as well, and the beer really pushes the borders if it is supposed to be a saison. Dusty, medium mouthfeel. Sugary, cinnamon finish. The beer feels refreshing in a way, but would do better without the cinnamon-domination. (070608)

Cloudy blond color. The aroma ha some citrus touch, and a sharp cardamom character; it smells to much like Swedish cakes. Quite dry mouthfeel, malt flavor, little residual sugars, a lot of spices. It’s drinkable, but the spices are too much for me.

650ml bottle. Hazy orange body with a big white head. Aroma is a bit strange, reminds me of synthetic washing up soap. Flavor is a bit synthetic as well, spicy and not totally bad. This is just not comparative to a Belgium Saison.

sample from bottle - Pours hazy yellow and has a very spicy aroma. I mean really spicy! There’s some malt and fruit in there too. I don’t see it in the ingredients list, but it smelled strongly of cinnamon. The flavor was really sweet and spicy and reminded me of coffee cake with lots of cinnamon and brown sugar dusted on top. There’s some kind of citrus in there too. This one is really odd for a saison. That’s not to say it’s bad. It’s alright, but kind of cloying.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of fiulijn. Hazy, golden with a white head. Weird aroma of cinnamon, citrus and diacetyl. Medium body, dry yet with an underlying sweetness. Very spicy accents, cardamom and citrus - and bath salt! Dry and bitter finish. But quite interesting. I’m not much of a Saison lover, but when it has to be I tend to find the American ones a lot more drinkable than the Belgians. 230407

Sample from bottle. Pours unfiltered yellow with a white head. Aroma is strong spicy. Flavour is strong cardemomme. too dominated by this, this gets cloying, soapy.

Bottle. Hazy dark straw color with a whitish head. Light malty aroma with some spice. Malty, yeasty, biscuity flavor with orange and spice. Lingering spice (mostly ginger). Medium body.
