Unknown vintage bottle shared at home. Pitch black with small light brown head that leaves quite fast without a trace. Vanilla and coffee up front, roasted malts, roasted nuts, marshmallows, soft chili, maple syrup, toast, dead leaves. Under medium sweet with roasted bitterness and light chili burn. Almost full bodied with slick dry feel and low carbonation. Very nice. 4.1 Fresher bottle. About the same, with a bit more coffee. It’s way sweeter and has a fuler, more sticky body and mouthfeel. Very good.

Bottle. Pours black, with a small creamy head mocha head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts with cocoa, coffee, leather and wood, as well as notes of lactose and chilies. Full, velvety creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts with raw cocoa, coffee and liquorice, with leather, lactose, as well as beautifully integrated chilies. Roasted malts with lingering dark chocolate and liquorice in the finish. Brilliantly balanced and very drinkable for its ABV.

12 oz bottle poured. Much thanks to Sandra for the share. Pours black with a tan fizz head. Chocolate heavy aroma with coffee and chile spice. Matching flavor. Love the pepper character. Coffee finish. Delicious.

Draught, thanks to Inbreak for the recommendation. Bare naked surface. Jet black body. Fragile lacing. Coffee and black malty nose. Rich and warming flavours of coffee grounds and black chocolate. Prolonged ending with a delicate touch of chili. Full bodied. Delicious (Black Sensation at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade, Copenhagen 12.11.2015).

Bottle at home from Beerdome. Pours black with a dirty tan head that fades away. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, vanilla, chilli, coconut. Taste is coffee, vanilla, chocolate, booze, a hint of chilli. Good balance of flavour, not too sweet, not too boozy. Tastes good. Great stuff

Bottle from gregwilsonstl, thanks again for hooking me up with a long time want. Inky black color with a smallish short lived bubbly tan head. Coffee, chocolate, molasses, dried dark fruits, hints of peppers, vanilla and roast. Yeah this one is pretty damn good and hides the alcohol wonderfully! Need more.

Black with beige bubbles on top. Cocoa aroma, sweet coffee. Boozy cocoa flavour, coffee and chili, sweet with vanilla, barely balanced by the bitterness. Good in small doses, otherwise slightly over the top...

Bottle, 13%. Sweet and syrupy coffee aroma with an ashy finish. Black colour. Small frothy light brown head. Distinct coffee and vanilla flavour with a vegetably chili flavour. It burns a little, but not too much. Quite sweet even though the alcohol should balance it - it does not.
