Really dull, very pale amber-brown sort of colour with no head. Does not look good. There's a fair bit of vanilla notes, lots of wood/barrel notes. Fairly fizzy for something that doesn't look like it has carbonation. Very acetic.

Bottle. Pours clear deep orange, medium off-white head, dissipates fairly quickly with decent lacing. Aroma is dusty, Brett, vinous, oak and lemon peel. Flavor is fully tart, light plus funky, oaky, vinous and cheesy. Medium body. I think age has improved this one, cause this ain’t bad. Oh wait, just took a look. You Canuck’s really don’t like sour beer much, do you?

A hazed reddish copper ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with ground cherries, lactic acid, cork character, pleasant. In mouth, a superb tart ground cherries, lactic acid, Epsom salts, oily mouth feel, intense and puckering. Bottle at ratebeer Quebec gathering.

Bottle at RBSG. Pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. A big sour cherry nose, light oak. The flavor is sharp sour tannins, cherries, sharp lactic sourness, a bit of vanilla. Solid.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma moderately acidic with some berry and cherry character. Some light vinegar notes. Light caramel and toasted bread malt notes. Light oak as well with hints of bourbon and grapes. Pours a hazy, reddish brown with a medium sized, fairly thin, tan head that recedes quickly to the edges and disappears. No lacing and small legs. Flavor is fairly acidic upfront with a moderate cherry and berry note. Some light vinegar notes and some citrus as well. Light bitterness and medium light oak notes. Faint bourbon and red wine character. Finish only has light acidity and some lingering fruit notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but its also a bit too acidic. Thankfully the acidity doesn’t linger too much. Nice fruit notes and some background malt and barrel character.
