Our Brown Ale is an OG, harnessing roasted malts and American hops to for a hearty bass-heavy beer that’s still pleasantly refreshing.

Keg @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Clear brown with a small off-white head. Quite gritty with treacle, toffee and chocolate all in the mix. Aroma is sweet but not as potent as you might expect from its taste.

Bottle at -believe it or not- a tabletennisbar. Weird! Brownish color, off-white to beige head. And then I got totally distracted because the two girls I was talking to were that nice that I totally forgot about the beer. Wasn’t too bad, but not very interesting either. Well this is worthless as a rating but while drinking the beer I had a nice chat with those girls so my priorities weren’t with rating this beer..

Bottle. Pours brown with some red in it, vanilla white head, some lacings. Aroma is malty, nuts, chocolate and some hops. Taste is kind of rich for a brown ale, vanilla, coffee, dried fruit, nuts. Ends hoppy and a lingering bitterness. Medium body, medium carbo, slight sticky texture. A good one, deep and refreshing at the same time.

Fin kompleks maltpreg som tynnes ut av litt høy karbonering. Forbausende lite preg av amerkansk humle

Reviewed from notes. Consumed January 20, 2012.
The appearance has a rich mahogany colored body with a slightly dark copper/caramel looking head that doesn’t last more than three seconds. There is some light lacing.
The smell is malty and yeasty with some nuts involved and some light chocolate coming in at the end.
The taste has some nuts and yeastiness with an added light roasted graininess.
The palate is somewhat medium, comes across fairly sessionable, has a dry aftertaste, and a bitter finish.
Overall, this is just a tad above decent, but a bit too yeasty for a brown ale, unsure if Ill come back to this.

Mørk brun, skum ender hurtigt som en tynd film. Aroma: chokolade, malt, ristet. Smag: klar, frisk bitterhed, antydning af kaffe. Medium fylde, god bitterhed i lidt ubalanceret eftersmag.

A dark, mahongy brown beer with a medium and yelloyish blond head. The nose of huts, some chocolate, roastiness, bitter almond and bread. Also nice and slightly aromatic hoppyness. Taste of nuts, bitter almond, fresh woodness, aromatic hops. Medium bodied, smooth and medium carbonation, suave to drink. Nice Brown Ale with positive and fresh flavours, lots of nuts. One of the best Brown Ales that I have tasted.
