Our Brown Ale is an OG, harnessing roasted malts and American hops to for a hearty bass-heavy beer that’s still pleasantly refreshing.

355ml bottle from Appellation Wines, cheers Ash! Pours clear ruby brown, thin tan head. Aromas of nuts and cocoa. Taste has a light herbal bitterness, more nuts. Bit thin. Ok.

Bottle at Arlanda Airport. If I didn’t drink something after spending the whole day in Scandinavian airports I would go crazy! Poured a clear dark reddish brown with a round off white head. The aroma is roasted malts, red berry fruit, light molasses. The flavour is medium bitter with a light watery metallic hop bitter, dry mineral palate and a short bitter finish. Light bodied with soft carbonation. I’m surprised that this beer has such high ratings tbh. It’s way too light and has no body and leaves a rather unsatisfying aftertaste. I would not buy this again.

330ml bottle from, I think, Microbar, Manchester. Pours very dark brown with cream head. Aroma is earthy dark treacle, taste is sweet molasses, smooth caramel and an earthy bitterness. Perhaps a bit too sweet and oily, but it’s alright.

Bottle from Harvest Market. Pours a deep reddish brown color with a decent sized bubbly off white head that slowly dissipates to a cap. Aromas of caramel and brown sugar with a hint of chocolate and a bit of minty earthy hops to balance. The flavor is malty sweet with just enough earthy hop flavor to balance. Nice malts caramel and hints of chocolate round this one out nicely. Medium body and level of carbonation. Its been a while since I’ve had a brown ale, but this one is quite serviceable.

355ml bottle. Brown reddish tinged colour, foam beige head and aroma of malt, roasty, toffee, nutty, chocolate. Taste is sweetish malty, with toffee, raisins, cola, chocolate powder, and nutty, lingering bitterness. Slightly creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry nutty bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
