In 1998, Hugues Dubuisson introduced a new Bush aimed at lovers of blonde beer. The launch commemorated the 65th anniversary of the Bush Caractère, introduced to the market all those years ago by his grandfather, Alfred.
And thus the Bush Triple was born. This filtered, top-fermented beer fits into the ranks alongside the Bush Caractère and the Bush de Noël. The Bush Triple is the fruit of the same expertise and the same house yeast. However, this blonde has her own unique personality.
The use of traditional malt varieties and the well-known Saaz hops gives the beer its clear blonde colour. We see the development of a subtle, but at the same time very well- balanced, palette of aromas and tastes. The lengthy fermentation process increases the alcohol volume to 10.5%, but at the same time produces a beer that is very easy to digest.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm, 15 Dec 2010) Golden colour with some sediment. Brief white head. Fruity nose with notes of peaches, mandarin, treacle, citrus, hints of grass and some alcohol. Fruity taste with citrus, peaches, mandarin and a spicy, grassy finish with lots of sweet alcohol coming through. Almost full body, fairly sweet, with a certain alcohol bite. Not the most balanced of beers, but tasty and warming. Quite nice.

sample @ Trolls & Bush, Pipaix. pours golden, white head. aroma, fruity, nice notes of white wine, reminded me of the BA cabernet aroma of white grapes / wine, light grains and hops but the overall aroma keeps a lot of fruit goodness. flavors, similar to aroma, a lot of fruits come through, profile has a lot of nice interesting grape, thin bitterness with a warming abv.

250 ml bottle. 1 year past its “drink by” date. Big, sweet, honey malts, with a bit of lemon in the nose. No hops left by now. Deep dark golden color with no head. Very sweet, ultra fruity flavor with passion fruit, cherry, and tons of alcohol! Burning, fumy finish balances the sweet malts. No hops present. Rich, smooth, oily. Brandy like. Very interesting and pleasant drinking. A bit of age seems to have been the charm.

Bottle that I picked up somewhere, probably Westholme Store Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, consumed 17-01-09. Pours mid gold moving towards warm gold, white head. Aroma is fruity, some spice and quite boozy. Taste is fruity and sweet with malts very much in evidence, its also a bit yeasty but the alcohol really does show throughout. A6 A3 F6 P3 OV12

Bottle @ Café Gollem. Pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of sweet malts and fruits. Smells a bit like a malt liquor. Flavour is sweet, fruity, malty. Medium bodied, soft mouthfeel, dry alcohol finish. Highly drinkable.
