On tap @ Henrik. This one pours a really deep cloudy dark orange, almost amber colored body with a small quickly islandy off-white head. Sweet sticky malty caramel nose with tones of nuts, paint thinner, ripe sweet fruits, alcohol and sweet syrupy date juice. Quite powerful aroma in this and its not bad at all! It has lots of ripe sweetness in the taste as well. Below average on the carbonation and oily in the mouth. Had thought it wold be more sticky sweet in the taste, but it's quite balanced. The sweetness from the dark boiled down fruits and berries are present. I get a little bit of wood and woodwork near the finish. Grassy bitterness and yeast ends this one of. Yeah, nice stuff. 12.10.2013

75 cl bottle from beergium.com approx 64dkk. clear dark golden, large dark yellowish and brownish head. mild aroma, slightly malty, very very faint hoppy, flavor is malty, boozy, slightly hoppy, pretty bland and boring, palate is very smooth however, overall a disappointing beer, neither belgian nor hoppy, just boring malts and a whiff of stale hops.

Bottle shared at Monk’s Cafe in Stockholm. Pours golden amber with a great head - that reduces to a normal one. Nice money-like colour. Aroma has some light alcohol, honey candy, a bit of fruity hops. First taste reminds a trippel a bit - sweet, flowery, honey. Aftertaste is a bit more like IPA, no mixing here. In the middle… I feel plastic there. I guess this bottle is not the freshest any more and in the spot where some great Sorachi Ace used to be, there is only a bit of plastic left. Aftertaste is lightly sweet/bittery. Lasts long - but some plastic is still there. Would have loved to try this beer when it was at its prime.

Bottle share at Watford tasting. From Drankers Geers. Maybe not the freshest of bottles. Aroma is rubber, alcohol and belgian triple yeast esters. Clean biscuity malt. Dark orange pour with a thin persistent frothy head. Flavour is hot alcohol, light toast and slight caramel. Maybe signs of some oxidation and hops dropping out cause thre wasn’t much sorachi ace. highly carboned. some rubber flavour lingers.

Bottle at December Watford tasting, thanks to Fergus. It pours hazy orange-amber with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, icing sugar, orange sponge cake and sweet floral notes. The taste is doughy, toast, orange, herbal, crisp citrus, light alcohol, floral, potpourri and sponge cake. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. A bit hot, but drinkable enough, OK.

On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours hazy dark golden with some residue and a small creamy and offwhite head. Aroma is hoppy with oranges, peaches and perfume, as well as flowers, kandi and grain. Creamy body with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet hops and apricots, with a sweet fruity finish.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles, Brussels, 25 Oct 2013) Amber colour with frothy off-white head, leaving traces of lacing. Malty, hoppy nose with citrus, rubber and floral hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, orange peel, burnt rubber, caramel and floral hops in a finish with a generous bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite tasty with a generous hop character. Nice one.
