CORNET is an oaked, strong, blond Belgian beer (Alc. 8.5% Vol.). Its subtle touch of vanilla is achieved by adding oak chips during brewing. Brewed in honour of Salomon de Maldeghem, Knight in the 11th century.

Pure white rocky head stayed on a light golden still body. Wheat, yeast, sherry & oak aroma. Medium bodied, sparkling on the tongue with a cloying back. Oak, sherry, peach, Haribos & sweet citrus tastes. Very nice Blonde.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a large white head. Nose brings out nice Belgian yeast character, with light oak, light esters, and some mild candied sugar. Flavour is along the same lines, with the Belgian yeast character bursting out upfront, with medium candied sugar sweetness, light esters, and a hint of oak. Not the most complex Belgian Strong by any means, but the yeast expression is very nice. Pretty solid really.

Bottle. Hazy blonde. Big frothy head. Apple and canned peaches aroma with white sugar. Pretty sweet on the palate, too. Has a fruity character, just a touch of malt, hint of alcohol and yeast. Mostly just sweet fruit syrups.

Clear gold beer, very big pale cream colour head. Airy palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth sweet malts, some light oak and vanilla. Sweet floralness. Banana estes. Light floral finish. Not bad, but wants something else to bring it all together and combat the sweetness.
