Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is grass and nettle leading to a medium bitter flavour with some grassy nettle hops, Brett yeast (Kermis convinced me) on the smooth bitter refreshing palate. Great on a hot day.

Bottle from Beer Hive, Edinburgh [310513]
Light blonde, slight haze, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of old lemon zest, soft floral perfumy notes, ver light sweet malts background, touch medicinal, unusual aroma
Taste of floral hops, some old lemon zest, bit aromatic, quite complex hops, nice light pale malts background, little creamy, after a while gets rather too floral and perfumy
Palate - Medium carb, light to medium body. Zesty palate, bitter lemon. Finish is rather dry, very long perfumy flowery longer which I’m not keen on
Overall - It was impressed with this initially then found it getting over floral with the drinking. It’s well made, quite unusual but I just wasn’t a big fan of this.

Keg: half-pint in Brodies King William 1V on 16 Feb 2013. Another brodies beer I struggled with: light golden straw coloured brew with a thin head of white on top. Mixed bag of aromas and flavours but they didn’t seem to gell. Fruit notes ( a twist of lemon with mangos maybe?) and semi-sweet caramel hints added to an unbalanced and strange tasting brew.
