Bottle at Oakes' Manor
Hazy deep blond colour. Dry and acidic, lemony, with very little other fruit character, but pleasant overall.

Perfectly clear golden and peach coloured body with billions of very small bubbles rising from the bottom and sides. Aroma of soured fruit, apricots, peaches, light metal, a dash of flowers and dry grain with a decidedly lactobilly and funky yeast component with the vinegar notes seemingly coming through. Medium-bodied; Very strong pure fruit flavours at first with a lot of stone fruits and citric acid notes showing through with only a touch of mild malt and grain, and way more sour and sweet flavours, especially towards the end. Aftertaste shows dry grass, very funky soured and fruity flavours with a lot of apricot and peach-based sugars and notes that make this very nice, well-rounded and super fruit-focused, while still being very sour. Overall, a very nice and robust beer throughout that has a lot of fruit notes, some soft grain and dryness, but the complexities from this make the relatively easy-drinking, soft, fruity beer that you should have more often. I sampled this twelve ounce pour on draught at Collins Pub in Seattle, Washington (state) on 07-February-2020 for US$8,00.

Hazy, slightly pinkish colour. Really nice plum on the nose, tart and bracing with a light plum, good stone fruit character, well integrated.

This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a dark brown almost black in color with a thin off white head that dissipated fairly quick. No lace.
The aroma had some milk chocolate up front and then cinnamon with the vanilla bean roasty to sly sweetness. The chilis are barely there.
The flavor seemed to have the sweet flavors up front and then the cinnamon comes in. Chilis seem just a touch bolder in the flavor than the aroma. Sly roasty to milk chocolate aftertaste with a quick sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionable sort of feel about, unexpectant, but yes, one could take big sips of this if they want. Cinnamon and chilis seem to enact a slight dry grip on my tongue, but doesn’t really distract nor add anything, just seems right.
Overall, quite nice of a tame Mexican styled impy stout, spice and chilis are far underneath making a for a great balance and not a palate wrecker as I expected.

On tap at Urban Family, pours a cloudy peachy golden with almost no head. Aroma is huge on the stone fruits, with lots of tart apricots and plums, and some wild yeast. Flavour is massively showcasing the tart apricots and plums, with moderate wild yeast, and lacto. Nicely constructed, with a tart stone fruity finish. Not a huge amount of depth, but it works well.
