Purchased at Trader Joe's in Portland, ME. Pours a slight hazed golden-amber colour with a frothy light-beige head, good retention and lots of dirty lacing. The nose is hoppy, but not too crazy with fresh herbal notes over caramel malts. The taste is light grassiness, with some decent bitterness and dryness in the end. Nothing much stands out, but a decent IPA.

$1.17 bottle from Trader Joe’s, Charlottesville. Hazy orange with a soft off-white head. Heft floral hop aroma, along with some bready malts. Flavor is heavily leaning floral, folloowed by mild citrus and bread. Quite good. I’m ashamed of myself for ignoring Trader Joes’ beers for so long.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Trader Joe’s. Aroma is bready malt base with fruity hops, mild pine and resin. Appearance is minimally hazy light brown with attractive sparkle, finger-width white fizzy head with decent retention and lacing. Taste is mix of sweet and bitter fruit and bread. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture and average to lively carbonation and dry, bitter fruity finish. Overall, some complexity but not overly so; lasting impact of hops is more for bittering than flavor.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a off-white, frothy head. Aroma of citrus, pine, resin, caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Lingering bitterness and resin taste along with grapefruit rind, citrus. Short of a resin bomb because of the malt backbone.

Deep golden with a white head - hoppy aroma with fruits and citrus - Good malt to support a good hop flavour with citrus and hints of pine - Hop finish with citrus that ends dry - This was good

Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Very light and sweetish malt. A lovely floralness that carries mild violets and a touch of candy fruits. Hops are medium orange and orange pith with lesser grapefruit and pine. Smooth finish. Noble hop like spicy linger. Lovely, lots going on and super drinkable.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a deep amber colored body with a one finger white head. The head lasted a good half minute and leaves some minimal spiderweb lacing.
The smell had some hops forward with some pine and malty/bready aspects coming slightly as the beer warms.
The taste had a good combination of malts and hops.
The palate sat about a medium on the body with nothing harsh on the tongue other than a normal American IPA bitter feel, fairly drinkable.
Overall, this is a pretty good beer which is easy on the wallet. Though its nothing to scream about, it gets the job done as far as a decent priced American IPA.
