Clear deep coppery gold body under a tall, long lasting, off-white head. Clean citrus grapefruit and pine resin hop aroma. The flavor is bitter with a good malt support that moves smoothly into a dry hop finish. Tasty bargain from Trader Joe’s

Pours deep gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes leaving scant sheets to sicken surface. Resin and pine aromas. Crisp with sweet caramel and bread upfront turning to pine and resin in the lasting finish.

12oz bottle pours with a crystal clear copper gold body that supports a thin near white head. The modest aroma offers up malt sweetened tangelo and orange wedges with just a dash of tart smelling grapefruit. The taste delivers a nice degree of orange and grapefruit and tangelo like citrus hop bitterness followed closely by snippets of malt sweetened citrus hop flavor. To midway it picks up a modest floral hop note too. Decent enough IPA. If found fresh I’d do this again.

Bottle from Shandy Springs Trader Joe’s. Pours a clear orange with a slight amber hue and an off-white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of grassy hops with a hint of grapefruit and some underlying earthy grains. Flavor begins with light grains but is joined by grassy notes with a bit of underlying earthy citrus.

12 oz bottle purchased at the Trader Joes in Kansas City, Missouri. Pour is mostly clear, copper reddish with a one inch egg white head. Head falls rocky with thick bubbles. Aroma is fresh citrus, toasted malt, and a decent amount of caramel sweetness. Taste is the citrus fruit, followed close behind by the caramel toasted malt, and then a grassiness that leads to bitterness in the dry finish. Palate is medium to light bodied, active carbonation, body thins and dries out in the back. Nice enough IPA, certainly a solid value.

bottle pours light copper with a thin off white head that lasts the length of the glass. This stuff smells great, lots of wet, green, dank hops with big citrus tones. Flavor is nicely balanced, light toast and nutty character ending with a big hop presence of citrus and pine. Really nice.

Trader Joe’s brew. Amber colour, bright. Thin head. The aroma is somewhat light for an IPA, just a bit of fruity herbal hops and nothing too bright or exotic. The palate has a good amount of bitterness and some light crystal malt chewiness. OK supermarket IPA, but loses steam after a couple of bottles.

Bottle at Hamilton during C&C Day 2011. Pours rich gold with a good, foamy head. Super hops in the nose. Light dankness, rich character, pine and citrus bitters. Full, rounded flavor with good sweetness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lingering bitter grass finish with further notes of resinous pine. Simply one of the best bargains in the USA.
