Bottle at home, last beer of 2019 / first one of 2020. Cheers to the new decade I guess. Pours deep copper with thin beige head. Nose is sweet booze, nuts, bready malts. Taste is sweet booze, dried fruits, nuts, a woody touch. Closes with long sweet and boozy finish, has medium to heavy body and soft carbonation.

Аромат солодовый, схожий немного с барливайном. легкая карамель, пряные нотки типа корицы, ощущается бочка. Цвет темно карамельный, густой, почти без пены. Вкус не тяжелый, тело среднее. Вкус от бочки виски ощущается, но не слишком сильно, что радует. Немного карамели и много солода. При глотке легкие нотки от кофе. Намеки на сухофрукты и алкоголь. Среднее пиво в целом.

Old rating from 2013 - 500ml bottle from the brewpub, pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, treacle, toffee, hints of smoke, bread, nuts, hints of alcohol & malt. Medium body. Sweet finish

330ml bottle @home. Color miele di castagno, viva, schiuma ecrù media, discretamente persistente. Al naso note di caramello, frutta secca, datteri, uva passa, legno, alcol. In bocca è dolce all'attacco, caramello, con amaro medio a bilanciare, lunga e persistente. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Buona.

Can, Bierzwerg. Black, low brown head. Lightly boozy, wooden, licorice, smoke caramel. Fullbodied, peaty, berries, heather honey, coffee, caramel sauce, dry dark chocolate finish, light funky yeast notes. pleasant whiskey retronasal. Starts out intense, but blends together into a nice dessert after a little while.

Can procured from The Star & Garter, drank at home. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Nose is dried fruit, toffee, caramel, raisin, light bourbon. Taste is chocolate raisin, smoky malts, toffee, sweet tobacco, bourbon coming through in the back end. Smoky boozy mouthfeel. Rich warming finish.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark brown colour, almost black, barely any head. Moderate malt, some toffee, light smoke; it's quite earthy, and very boozy, the whiskey is jumping out.
It's ok, but not worth the high price tag.

Flink zoet, een klein vleugje turf, wat nat hout, oude quadrupel. Best nice. Zacht en toch wel sterk.
