330ml bottle. Chestnut colour with moderate sized beige fluffy head. Aroma of sweet malts, toffee, chocolate, some nuts and raisin. Taste is quite rich with big sweet and toffee notes with a sticky boozy finish. Nicely carbonated. Very nice.

Deep amber with a tall head. Malty, sweet caramel, chocolate, wet dough, berries, and a touch of spice. It’s weird- cause it’s flavorful with nothing off-putting but it’s also kinda meh. Oh well, a nice option if nothing else is out there.

Most deffo a ketchup rate ... scoped originally on a Belgo drinking trip circa 2000/2001/2002. Bottle at the Dovetail Farringdon, Xmas works drinks, 06/12/24. Deep mahogany brown topped with a beige head. Nose is brown bread, dark malts, herb, nutty, biscuit. Taste comprises stewed fruits, vinous notes, bitter sweet, toffee, herb, light spice. Medium bodied , fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent for the style.

Perfectly clear amber beer, thick off-white head. Smells of caramel and malt. Flavour has apple, caramel again, sweet malt, just a hint of the chocolate mentioned in the description. A bit of warming booziness. Decent.

Drank it many times because of wide availability even in Germany. Seems like it has been dumbed down even more since last tried. Pours to a clear dark ruby red with a 1cm head with medium persistence. Typical Belgian (Dutch?, Polish?) mose: coriander, Candi sugar, light orange Marmelade, Marzipan. Slight vanilla and caramel. Sweet on first taste with the spice and orange breaking through. Solid mid body. Nice persistent and pleasant receding final notes: coriander and caramel sugar. Well balanced and nicely rounded. Slightly thin at the end. Still good I have to admit.
