Inspired by the Belgian Trappist tradition, Rigor Mortis ABT is a brown ale with an intense, caramel, sweet malt body. Only the slightest bitterness accompanies the complex flavours of red fruit and spice resulting from the typical yeast strain employed.

0.33l bottle. Clear amber body with a thin white head. Lots of dried fruits like dates and raisins both in the aroma and the taste. It shows notes of caramel, toast, nutmeg and some floal hops. A bit boozy but bold and complex. Great one.

I cannot believe I’ve never rated this. Here goes. Deep amber/brown with a beige head. Malty, dark ripe fruits, plum, raisin, fig, light spice, cherry, toffee. Full bodied. Finish has a sharp fruity bite and plenty of deep malty bits., Lovely.

Big, complex and well crafted. A dense off-white head on a mahogany body. The nose is sumptuous, featuring sweet caramel malt, spice, citrus and tropical fruit, and a fruity tartness. The taste is predictably complex and layered. Dense Caramel and toffee tasting malts, dark fruit, candied fruit, plums, classic spices and a solid element of Belgian yeast (with a slight bubblegum note) add to the blend. Sweet but tart, dense and slick, this is another DDC classic.

Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di sottobosco. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera molto elevata, permanendo in maniera apprezzabile.
