(Draught at De Prael Proeflokaal, Amsterdam, 26 July 2013) Hazy amber colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, brown sugar, yeast, toast and dried fruit. Malty taste with toast, caramel, brown sugar and bread. Low bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sugary sweetness. Lots of flavour for the style. Quite enjoyable.

Tap @ de Prael. Clear amber color, short head. Aroma of some caramel malt, dark fruit, bit of biscuit, bit spicy of the yeast. Not much in taste, soft sweetness, soft bitterness. Not bad, but quite boring.

On tap @ De Prael. Copper color, a bit hazy. Off white head with some retention. Aroma’s: Grainy, malty, somewhat vegetal & fruity retronasal. Flavor is caramellish, a bit roasted, lightly sweet & bitter. Light bodied, not too thin. Finishes caramelluih & moderately bitter. Tastes better than it smells.

Wooden barrel at In de Wildeman. Slightly hazy dark-amber colour, dense off-white head. Aroma of toast, caramel, light citrus, IJ yeast. Flavour is watery, IJ yeast, light toast and caramel, firm grassy hoppy bitterness with a hint of citrus. Light-bodied, watery, easy. Expected a little more to be honest.
