Deep copper and bronze coloured body with a large, slightly soapy pure white head that tops the beer quite nicely. Aroma of very tart and funky grapes, citrus and pure yeastie funk. Light-bodied; Super tart and extremely funky yeast flavours throughout with a lot of citrus, dry herbs, grapes, oak and especially brett and complex yeast esters throughout - in a very good way, but you need to be ready for it! Aftertaste shows more of the yeast funk with a lot of sour flavours, tart fruits and a good dry oaky, bready flavour with a super easy-drinking floral finish, super clean, incredibly complex for the body and quite tart. Overall, a very nice and respectable beer that shows very elegant sides while remaining completely clean and easy-to-drink, but has a ton of complexities and various flavours throughout that make this worth searching out for, especially in summertime, given it's thin body and clean profile. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Springfield, Virginia on 15-December-2017 for US$7,59 sampled at home in Washington on Easter Sunday, 01-April-2018.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Warning this one gushed for me. Aroma has light malt and wheat notes with moderate grape character including some must and tannins. Faint oak notes and a hint of citrus. Medium light barnyard earthiness. Pours a hazy, dull, golden orange with a medium large, medium thick, white head that recedes to a thin film that lingers on the edges. No lacing or legs. Flavor is moderately acidic with a light sweetness from the grapes and malt. Hints of grain and oak. Moderate grape notes with some mustiness and tannins. Light citrus notes and some light, earthy, herbal funk notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice berliner with a balanced fruit note that doesn't overpower the base beer. Acidity is present, but isn't too sharp or strong.

Apple juice sour ale, although it's made with grapes, awesome flavor.
