This new American Stout is intended to complement the character of the season and the Thanksgiving tradition. Brewed with pale, caramel, and roasted malts and conditioned with a blend of chocolate, vanilla, and our favorite freshly roasted coffee, Somewhere pours a luscious pitch black in the glass with a dense mocha head. We taste and smell complex notes of Swiss chocolate, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate chocolate chip cookies. A rich body and a gentle carbonation contribute to a beer that is the ideal holiday digestif. We open this beer can serve as a lubricant to reflect and give thanks during this special time of year. Enjoy.

Sweet stout by this NEIPA specialist – and indeed my first Treehouse beer that isn’t an IPA. Thanks to the Belgian beer geeks for sharing the can at Dok Brewing Festival. Mousy, pale yellowish beige, open head on a black beer with burgundy edges. Aroma of melting milk chocolate, ‘Haagse hopjes’, Chocotoff candy, milk powder, candied dates, coffee cream. Very sweet onset, candied, chocolate-coated raisins, softly carbonated, very creamy mouthfeel – almost like actual cream, thanks to an apparently very generous dosage of lactose; toffeeish and softly chocolatey and caramelly malt body remaining sweet with only a very mild and brief spicy note in the end. This is as creamy as it gets even for a milk stout, but served cold on a warm day, this is a very enjoyable dessert beer.

1 pint can, shared by Werckmeister, thanks!
Black body, with a small, creamy, dark beige head.
Aroma of coffee, tobacco, soy sauce, cocoa powder, caramel some, sweet spices, some vanilla.
Tastes similar, with a bit more soy sauce.
Full, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes warm, medium dry, roasty, a bit sweet, a bit spicy, with cocoa powder, soy sauce, coffee, some tobacco.
Very tasty. Great combination of robust coffee and soy sauce and a smooth sweetness. Alcohol is noticeable, while still good to drink. Great, complex sipper. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17

02/14/19, super chocolatey vanilla upfront with a yummy coffee back. Quite tasty but expected it to be thicker.

Pours a thick, oily, cola-black, with smallish tan head that quickly dissipates. Aromas of chocolate, licorice, coffee, vanilla. Flavors follow suit, with quite a bit of sweetness, perhaps some caramel and dark fruit working in there, too. It's a good sweet stout.
