14th April 2010. Clear dark brown beer. Gentle dark malt and faint chocolate on the nose. Light palate - a little dry. Darl malt with traces of molassess and licorice. Nicely balanced by an underlying fruitiness - sublte cherry and plum. Finishes dry. Nice enough.

Bottle, Carringtons, Chorlton. Deep dark brown with a fading thin tan head. . Roasted malt and chalk dust aroma. Flavour had dark chocolate and fruity notes. Some hop presence evident too. Lively carbonation. Forgettable on the whole.
