500ml bottle at Gaffel Am Dom. Hazy golden color with white head. Hoppy aroma, citrusy, pine, grassy, light malty, bready. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Erg goed bier.

Bottle (from Cologne). Hazy yellow color, small white head, lace. Aroma grainy-fruity, some pineapple. Light-bodied. Fruity, grainy lager. Cut grass in the finish. Kösch with American twist doesnt help much.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden, medium white head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, orange peel, bread, grass. Flavor is pleasantly citrus, some passionfruit, dominating the grass and hay, but leaving some biscuit. Medium body, fairly high, but soft, carbonation. Hops are clearly not as fresh as in an IPA, which penalizes the aroma, but the flavor is pleasant. A hint of acidity.

Bottled (backlog). Orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is earth, some mild saltiness as well as some bready notes and a quite strong citric hoppiness to it. Flavour is citrus hoppiness, some bready and mild grainy malts to it as well. Fresh and nice, easy to drink and a bit on the watery side. But as for a warm Summer terrace, this would be pretty much perfect.

A strongly hopped Kölsch. Not much to add to that description. I am happy that something like that even exists in Cologne. The citra hops give a nice hoppy aroma (as you know it from other citra-hopped ales), but it keeps the very light body of a Kölsch. Kölsch in general is too light-bodied for my taste, but I can imagine that this is very refreshing during summer.

Aroma dominated by citrus. Golden, cloudy with white head. Highly refreshing but not extraordinarily good. Better than a usual Kölsch. Drinkable!

Bottled @ some Koln restaurant, large sample. Hazy golden color, medium white head. Aroma of sewer water, bit grassy and earthy, buttery. Taste is much better, medium bitterness, bit crisp and slight dry. Aroma is quite horrible though. It is supposed to be an unfiltered kolsch, a wiess in Koln dialect, which should compete with the weizens from the rest of Germany. But it will loose this competition hands down.
