Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours near clear gold with an orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has boozy sweet grains and some light spice with a bit of grass and toffee backing. Flavor has boozy sweet grains with light slice and a bit of toffee and licorice backing.

Aus der Flasche im 2021-10 getrunken. Dieses Barley Wine kommt im Europäischen Stil mit schweren, süßlichen Malzkörper daher. Dazu fällt eine Liebstöckelnote auf wie sie oft durch den Einsatz von Ahornsyrup zu entdecken ist. Mit der zusätzlichen leichten Vanilienote kommt fast ein Puddingaroma auf. Ein super leckeres Ale!

Tap@Mikkeller Viktoriagade, Copenhagen (11/10/2020) - hazed amber with a white head. Sweet malty with lots of caramel and dried fruit shred, some sweet sticky maple, bourbon and light nutty accents throughout, brown sugar, with vanilla and bourbon coalescing into the lingering warming sweet malty close. Lovely.

Poured from 12 fl oz bottle. Clear orangey brown with off-white head. Sweet maple, light vanilla wood, caramel malt, touch of bourbon. Quite good, if a bit sweet.

3,55l bottle from Omnipollo web store. Hazy mid brown beer with medium but quickly vanishing head. Aroma has plum, raisins and other ripe, dried fruits. Also some bourbon, vanilla, caramel and malts. Flavor has dried fruits, plum and raisins, some bourbon, vanilla and caramel. Sweet malts is quite dominant. Full- body, good.

12 oz bottle. Pours a copper color with moderate head. Aromas of marmalade, caramel, and sweet malts. Flavors of orange candy, toffee, sweet biscuity malts and a big of brandy. Sticky

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with a medium size light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with some strong vanilla and bourbon notes is quite enticing. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt notes with some bourbon, oak and vanilla with discreet residual sugar notes and subtle maple notes. Body is pretty full with good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Solid barleywine from a fantastic brewery.
