This is an awesome collaboration with Mikkeller and Hill Farmstead. It will mess with your mind as an IPA designed to mimic Limoncello. A slightly sour mash, combined with Lactose for sweetness, tonnes of lemon Zest and hopped to death with Sorachi Ace and Citra. Bottle, cask and keg. [Labeled as "Lemon Cello IPA" in the US Market.]

Bottle from ’Jacks’, Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, consumed at home Sunday 22nd September 2013 Pours mid gold with a white rim tiny bubbles. A zippy tartness on the nose, but give it a swirl and the cleaness subsides revealing a nice depth. This reminds me of a really good French White wine Savanniers I think it was called, it was a good Loire Valley wine. Really tart in mouth with zippy lemon, grape skins and a lovely tangy tartness. Really like this, I am amazed that it is 9%. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.9

Bottle at The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Well it does have lemon in it. There is no doubt there. Amazingly suppable for such a strong beer. A little sweet lemon curd flavour. Hoppy sting on the finish. It’s good. Interesting. But I have to admit it does not excite me. Ok.

Bottle (9.1%) at home, from Beermerchants.com, 20/09/13. Hazed golden orange with a moderately sized white head that stays for the party. Nose is lemon sherbet, tarte lemon flan, floral notes, light honey, bitter hop backnotes. Taste carries agressive hop bitterness, zesty tarte lemon, light perfumed notes, sugars, light pine, touch lactic. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, dry finish with tarte lemon and hop notes. Good puckering feel to this one. Does what it says on the tin, tarte and sour lemon backed up with hops. Nice in a small dose but I couldn’t drink too much of this number.

Keg at The Southern. Pours hazy yellow with decent white head. Big lemon aromas, with alcohol notes too. Very much like Limoncello! Tastes very sharp, full-on tongue-tingling lemon zest. A bit too much in the end. Very interesting though.

330ml bottle at 9.1%. Pours a hazy orange with a small head. Aroma is subtle, slightly salty with some lightly sour lemon notes. Taste has tart lemon to start. Lactic sour finish. Different. Bit thin in the mouth.

Tap at Mikkeller. Dark golden color, low, lacy head. Cloudy. Huge lemony nose, yeah, coming close to limoncello, not quitr, but fascinating lemon. Some grass and biscuity malts too. Tart lemon flavor, almost sour edge, grass, bread. A bit thin. Interesting, good.

On tap at Mikeller bar Victoriagrade, a cloudy gold color with a slightly funky lemon aroma.Wow, the taste was a quite sour lemon, almost like a lemonade with a nice body & the malty backbone would shine through from time to time. Pretty good.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, Gustav Adolf Torg
Cloudy blond color with creamy head. Very fresh aroma of lemon, cedar, a bit tropical; also light Lambic funkiness. Lean body, dry mouthfeel; it has a moderate acidity and some bitterness from the white peel. Some astringency in the final, wood.
Monodimensional idea, quite good, but I don’t know where they got the stupid idea to associate the name to "limoncello".
