Bottle, 9.0%. Mild caramelly aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour is peppery with a good bitterness, and a nice caramelly hop note. Some pine and a mild sweetness and hop bite.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head and lots of clingy lace. The aroma is malt, woody resin hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a rich woody, resin hop bitter, alcoholic, citrus palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 14C). AROMA: intense floral, piny, resinous aroma. faint sweet malt background with some fruity notes. some alcohol notes but not of hot character. APPEARANCE: dark Orange color and very hazy. ivory thin moussy head with low retention. TASTE: balanced sweet malt profile with high bitterness that lingers into a dry finish. hop flavours are reminiscent of floral and pine. some fruitiness is present (grapes, tropical fruits). PALATE: smooth medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. smooth alcohol warming. OVERALL: a nicely done and balanced imperial IPA with a good hop bouquet (aromas and flavours).

Bottle shared with MaartenRF10 @ his place. Hazy dark orange color, small off-white head that diminishes quite quickly. Aroma is malts and hops with a touch of sweetish fruity hoppyness. Taste malts, hops, light to moderately grapefruit, lightly resinous, lightly fruity. A bit sticky texture, medium body and carbonation. Nice!
