Can from the brewery. Jet black pour with a medium beige brown head. Aroma is loaded with bourbon barrel, oak, bourbon, cocoa, vanila, deep roast, coffee and spy. Luscious Mouthfeel, slightly oily, and creamy, with a soft carb. Finish is medium Bitter, loads of barrel, and straight up bourbon, with a sweet cocoa notes and soy. A bit of a barrel bomb, but very tasty.

The can spills a bit upon opening; dark brown; The smell is a bit earthy, roasted malts, soil, dust. Good body, still some sweetness, with caramel, dark sugars, but also mild earthy character, not an aggressive infection, but there may be some Brett here; strong alcohol. Still a good beer, but controversial.

Can: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium dark brown foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of chocolate notes with some bourbon and vanilla notes. Taste is a mix of vanilla with some chocolate notes with some bourbon notes with faint woody notes. Body is about full with good carbonation with some light warming alcohol notes. Solid imperial stout with some nice bourbon notes.

Somewhat murky medium-brown colour. Not much head. Heavy bourbon aroma - that freshly emptied character. Burly bourbon on this one. There's a fairly strong chocolate character underneath there, but it's a fairly simply fudgey stout note. Really, to make this balanced they would have needed to roll the barrel past the fermenter of stout. It's not the most one-dimensional example but it's on the list. Nothing bad about it, but for the lack of balance.

Poured from 355mL can (pkg 07 Dec 2021). Black with full tan head. Dark fruit, mild chocolate and bourbon, feint hint of roast, the fruit character is definitely giving me port vibes.

341mL can, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light maple, bourbon barrels, and vanilla. Flavour matches, with lots of bourbon barrels, a little maple, and some vanilla. Heaps of bourbon here without being too abrasive. Excellent.

Insane amounts of booze and bourbon. Permeates the whole room and dark chocolate and roast follow. Jet black with a rich light brown head. Coconut, boozy bourbon and barrel notes. Huge and rich, well done.

A deep dark stout with almost no head. In aroma, sweet chocolate with loads of bourbon barrel notes, vanilla, coffee crisp, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice rich chocolate malt with loads of resinous floral hops, vanilla, alcohol warmth, licorice notes lingering, very nice. On tap at brewery.
