Aged sample Disparate cream-coloured rim over brown-black beer. Bourbon, vanilla, coconut explosion. Sweet if not excessively so. Vanilla, ditto. Bourbon, cocos. Dark fruit as plums, prunes. More than a tad boozy, the alcohol is indeed a tad too dominating, both in taste as in MF. Alcoholheat and -slickness. Medium to good carbonation. Aging has had no influence whatsoever on this beer. Txs to Fred d'A and Mathieu!

Tasting at Oakes' Manor; bottle, vintage; 27/06/2016, 3 years old
Pitch black. Big chocolatey Stout, sweet, borderline syrup and maple, with a bit more roasty chocolate in the finish, and a balanced amount of bourbon.
Very good.

Dark brown, thin head. Fairly massive bourbon aroma with a lot of molasses, big thick sweet molasses notes. Rich brew, fairly big boozy signature. Almost mapley, and in the finish it is certainly sticky. Starting to show some signs of aging, which is rounding it out.
