Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London. Many thanks to Bruce for this one. Pours black with a creamy, tan cap. Big dark chocolate aroma, some iodine character. Medium to big sweet flavor with lightly charred malts, smoke, chocolate cake, earth, salt. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Moderate warmth on the finish, some burnt wood, cocoa. Nice.

2011 bottle at ChrisO Snow Tasting, thanks to Bruce. It pours very dark brown with a small light tan head. The nose is roasted malt, tar, coffee, dark honey, soy sauce, toasted sesame seed, caramel and espresso. The taste is roasted malt, espresso, earth, burnt wood, dark chocolate, charcoal, toasted coconut and some soy sauce with a dry finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Pretty smooth and hides the alcohol well. Not bad, but I dislike the soy-sauce aspect.

Bottle thanks to TURDFERGUSON: Poured a thick oil black with a finger light brown head. Huge robust coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Thick creamy dark chocolate blast with hints of coffee bean and loads of malts. I did not get the honey in this, but its definitely a big beer.

Had this a few times over my trip to Dark Lord Day. Poured a dark brown color with a light tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, with a touch of bitter coffee, touch of smoke? Flavor was coffee. Dry finish.
