Tart, sour, surprisingly sweet. Vinous grapes, honey, dried apricots, dry wood, a bit of herbality. Fortified wine vibes, desserty. Rich, complex, lovely.

Rerate at the brewery: 7.7 rather typical curry and spices, but did not dig it like the first time.

(Bottle, Cantillon Brewery, Brussels, 21 Oct 2022) Deep golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with sour grapes, white wine, vinegar, horse stable and barnyard. Fruity, tart taste with notes of green apples, grapes, white wine, oak wood, barnyard, vinegar and a dry and tart finish. Medium body, dry. Solid and well made, with a good wine barrel character and a harmonious tartness. Excellent!

2020 vintage bottle at Moeder Tasting at Ammutson 2023-03-24. So yes, I was very lucky and got to drink this again. And Jean Moeder even gave us a second bottle to drink and share as we liked! Needless to say I had a few pours of this, so lucky! Again something completely unique. Curry, Vin Jaune, Comté cheese, rustic funk, earth, sweat, grape sweetness, wood, ... so much going on, yet incredibly balanced and elegant. Again absolutely mind-blowing stuff!

Fruity smooth nose. The beer starts extremely fruity with a fantastic sour mild back. Fruity mild, tart like dry pears or apricots. Fruity tart dry finish. Great stuff

Novare draught, 6/16/22. Lightly hazy, honey-orange. Small, white head. Honey-like notes from grape with big oak and house culture. Soft, succulent, mineral and tropical fruit driven wine. Lots of citrus rind with lovely, sherry-like oxidation leading to tea and light vanilla. Very soft, dry, sherry-oxidation and honey-orange rind. Medium sourness and on the lighter side, body-wise. Lingering, teeth-licking sourness mixing with mineral, oak tannin and long lactic acid. Wacky stuff.
Lõhn on jätkuvalt äge, happelisem kui ma mäletan, puuviljane, kuiv, vürtsikas. Jätkuvalt äge, aga jah, hape on veits tugev.
