A hazed dark amber barley wine with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, light vinous character, alcohol warmth, light licorice, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice.

Bottle: Poured a hazy brown color ale with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with some nice barrel-aged notes with light woody notes also perceptible. Taste is also a nice mix of caramelized malt, some toffee with some nice bourbon, vanilla notes with some woody notes cutting through the residual sugar notes. Body is full with good carbonation with some warming alcohol notes also perceptible. Solid BA barleywine. Wish this was available on amore regular basis.

Copper to amber colour, hazy, no head. Aroma of malt, marzipan, alcohol (6.5). Full bodied, sweet, malt flavour, but not much depth, caramel, touch of fudge, very strong boozy character, and the rye highlights that.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out caramel, light stone fruits, and some bourbon barrels. Flavour is along the same lines, with bourbon barrels, light smoke, and stone fruits. Really heavy on the bourbon, with a smoky finish. Excellent.

Bourbon aux allures de caramel Écossais se découvre au premier nez. Alcool puissant alliant des sous-notes de fruits tropicaux, d'ananas, de cerises au marasquin, de fruits confits et de houblons résineux. Complexité exceptionnelle. Petite mousse blanc cassé sur liquide orangé/cuivré et flou. Encore une fois, c'est l'alcool et le caramel qui attaque l'entrée de bouche avec d'évidentes cerises au marasquin. Fruits tropicaux également présents avec une finale équilibrée en alcool et amertume résineuse. Le seigle joue également sur la palette avec des notes céréalières. Texture veloutée. Corps ample et plein. Effervescence douce et alcool dominant mais demeurant quand même sous les limites de l'agressivité. Un nectar.
