Tasting at Matt's
Cloudy red colour. Smelly sour (a bit cheesy, footy, yeasty), fruity. Strong acidity, beet, berries, earthy, with vegetable bitterness in the finish.
Quite unpleasant.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out tart red currants upfront, with moderate acidity, and some oak. Flavour is along the same lines, with tart red currants, medium acidity, and a hint of oak. Nice use of currants, with an oaky finish. Good stuff.

Bottle: Poured a deep purple color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of sour notes with some blackcurrant notes and some lactic acid notes is refreshing. Taste is a nice mix of loads of blackcurrant notes with some sour notes, light lactic acid notes with some vinous notes also noticeable. Body is full with good carbonation. Refreshing and very enjoyable.
