Sample, on tap at the brewpub at 7.8% abv. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, white layer. Sweetish-malty, yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, cloves, honey and vanilla. Sweetish-malty, yeasty-spicy taste of banana, cloves, honey, vanilla and some varnish, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, flat. Weird, I like it somehow though.

Bottle at Terras De Engel, Markthal, the indoor market stall in the futuristic building behind Blaak station Rotterdam, Saturday 14th March 2015 in company of Dad & Barry Golden with a white rim, a little fruit but with a hint of a sour fruitiness. Soft in the mouth, chewy, malty and little sweet spiciness. Fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

Poured a cloudy light amber with a frothy thin white head. The aroma is yeast. The flavour is big bitter with a yeasty spice palate. A somewhat typical Tripel. Nice but not exciting.

@Nederlandse Bieren Festival Delft - Pale blond colour. Thin soapy head. It’s got a typical Tripel taste. A little bit sweet and fruity with some yeasty peppery notes to keep it quite well balanced.
