Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Farmstead® ale is crafted from American malted barley, American and European hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur.

0,75l from bottle at Ninja, Stockholm. 20230718. Yellow clear color, small white head. Smells spices, earthy, corn sirup, peppery. Nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes corn sirup, earthy, spices, bit light struck, peppery, tobacco. Finishes lightly dry and lightly bitter with notes of corn notes, earthy and peppery notes. Good, but not overly special. Gets a lot better once it warms

Op tap bij Borefts '25. 2024 editie. Mistig, goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Licht funky, vrij zuur, citroen, floraal, druiven, redelijk droog, licht hoppig. Meer sour dan saison wat mij betreft, niet helemaal mijn smaak. Lichte body.

Fofa draught, 8/2/25.
Clear, bright, deep bronze with a solid, white head.
Beautiful nose, with rustic grains, aged hops and a profound, but well-aged peppery saison character. Very bright, fruity, lush and clean with very little sign of its age. No oxidation.
Quite attenuated at this point, so getting a bit thinned out in the mouth, but still possessing a richness of flavor with plentiful rustic grain and lots of peppery saison yeast. Bright fruitiness and aged hops linger.

Bottle shared with the boys.

Rating number 7,800 and my 780th Top 50 beer as well! And my 20th Hill Farmstead rating, to boot. Honey gold pour. Brief beige head. Faint earthy malt aroma. Flavor is sweet, earthy malt. Tart and zesty. Hints of hay, light yeasty funk and bubblegum. Dry finish. Nice!

Bottled (October 26, 2022), enormous thanks Zhenya for sharing! Hazy yellow body, white head. Cloves dominate the fresh, if phenolic aroma, grapes and barrel in evidence. Lean, dry, tart taste, white wine, juicy even herbal hops, yeasty notes, bit bretty or funky in general, lightly tart. To be rerated of course, it showed promise of its likely usual greatness.
