Part of my first flight at the brewpub on 13th August 2025, sat on the deck in the afternoon sunshine and light sea breeze overlooking the ocean. Great location and a very pleasant old style West Coast IPA. Piney rather than too citrussy, solid malt base, bitter but tasty.

A golden ipa with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with resinous hops, light cereals, pleasant and smooth. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous hops, light cereals, treacle, pleasant. On tap at brewery.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Hazy dark blond colour. Aroma of earthy hops, armpit, straws, some orange peel, light sugar. Good body strength, with mild residual sweetness; the malt is quite strong, biscuity; the hopping is mostly bitter, with some bitter orange character. I'm not particularly enthusiastic about the pithy bitterness. An old style West Coast IPA, but quite well done.

On tap at Sooke Oceanside, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright earthy hops upfront and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy hops and dry biscuity malt. Dry and biting. Solid stuff.

On tap at the brewery. Has okay foam on top of a clear gold body. Nice strong hoppiness on the nose. Flavour is good chewy hops with some nice sugary sweetness. It's a decent IPA though a bit heavy on the sugar.

Hazy, tan, big head. Has a toasty, herbal hop note. Bitter. Really bitter, hoppy.
