On tap at Arrndsnest. Pours a near clear amber orange with a frothy near white head that lasts and laces. Aroma has notes of straw with backing sweet bread and a bit of caramel. Flavor has a good amount of straw with a touch of caramel and sweet grains.

(Bottle, Café Derat, Utrecht, 25 July 2013) Pale amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with orange peel, apricots, toast and earthy hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of grapefruit, dried apricots, citrus peel, toast and a generous bitterness with earthy hops in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Well made and tasty. Nice one.

Fox brown colour, white head. Malty aroma, quite light, light hops, bit of caramel. Sweet flavour, malty, biscuit, light hops. Bit thin body. Malty finish, very short. Bit too light bodied for my liking.
(From draught @ Café Kandinsky. Thanks for sharing, ratebeer crew!)

Bottle @ Benzai’s single release party, shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Hazy orange color, medium sized white head. Smell malts and some herbs or sweetness. Taste lightly malts, lightly some herbs or spices and a touch of sweet-bitter. A bit high carbonated, medium body.

Bottled. Clear golden color, short white head. Looks great, but for something with loads of oat and wheat, that must be filtered? And then added bottling yeast. Aroma is very grainy, soft oak wood, hint of vanilla, soft spicy and flowery hops, hint of biscuit, melon. Medium bitter taste, soft sweet, even a sourish oaky hint. Quite dry. The biscuity grains represent very well and the bitterness is quite fruity and a bit harsh because it’s pretty dry. The oak gives that extra sense of dryness. Balance between the flavors is pretty good in that the amount of them all is nice, but they never seem to be in real harmony with each other.

Sampled draught @ Café Kandinsky. Clear orange with a white head. Nose is sweet caramel malt, touch iron, sugar, marmalade & sweet spices. Taste is sweet sugar, marmalade, mellow malts, toffee, hay, biscuit & slightly floral, finish is lightly bitter. Touch light but easy to drink. Not a bad one, nice historical experiment.
