Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - thanks to Bruce. Pours oily black with a bubbly beige head. The nose holds far, burnt cocoa, burnt marshmallows. Light sweet flavor with strong sourness, some charred malts, earth, dry chocolate. Medium bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Tangy finish, lots of sour dark malts, minerals, burnt toast, dry smoke, charred toast. Seems a little out of shape but still somewhat novel.

Flaske på RB samling hjemme (takk til Odd Gunnar): åpner med champagnesmell. Smaker sur eddik, her har det skjedd noe galt. Må prøves på nytt. Nytt forsøk på Vistenes: dette er andre saker! Rund og rik smak, vinøs og fin munnfølelse. Fortjent opp fra 1.1 til 3.2

Quite nice beer. It lacks the depth of a great imperial stout, but it has the thick roasted body of malt, coffee and chocolate.

Bottle from Pivovarsky klub, Prague. Very dark brown color with small beige head. Roasted malt, plums, coffee, dark chocolate in aroma. Taste starts with dark chocolate, roasted coffee, overlapped with strong coffee sourness. Not very tasty.

Bottle shared by Cuso. Aroma strong coffee, dark chocolate, ash, light plum. Pitch black colour, dark brown head. Taste is strong sour, otherwise some chocolate and coffee. Overall fail, unfortunately. As much as I hate to say it, this is bad. 7 5 3 1 5 Rerate. Bottle from Pivovarsky dum. Quite typical RIS, intense roasted aroma with some dried fruits. Almost black colour, brown head. Taste is all about roasted, balanced sweetness and bitterness, no astringency. Thick body, alcohol hidden okay, quite easy drinking. Overall no jewel, but okay simple RIS.

Deep black colour, diminishing tan head. Aroma of chocolate, chocolate milk, roasted coffee, dark fruits, caramel and malts. Light sour flavour, light sweet touch, coffee. Sour finish, citric acid, coffee, roasted malts.

Bottle shared thanks to trade with Mads. Pours black with a low retention brown head. Aroma of milk chocolate, dark fruits, raisins, caramel. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter, with a light sourness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
