Bottle from Etre Gourmet. Black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, licorice, berries, something that reminded a bit of milk. Also wood and "dill". Not bad but a bit strange. Medium mouth feel on this one.

33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, BBE 06/2015. Thanks Sami!
Aroma is a bit weird and slightly sour with vegetables, some licorice, hints of coffee and salt. Flavour is sweetish with some hops, dark fruits. Finishes salty with hints of peat. A feeling of whisky barrel – I wonder if this is barrel aged or not?

Sampled @ Haand beer festival 2012. Black body with a small but dense beige head. The aroma is mild, roasted malt, coffee, dry fruit and some hops. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, some smoke, coffee, dry fruit and quite bitter. Fine body, good aftertaste. Well balanced and really nice.

330 ml bottle bought @ Être Gourmet. Smell is sweet with roasted malts, sweet dark spicy bread, alcohol, coriander seeds, dill seeds, lemon zest, cereal, wood, burnt caramel, caraway, dried flowers, mango, pineapple and hints of nutmeg and liquorice root. Taste is sweet, bitter and tiny metallic with dark sweet bread, alcohol, wood, dill seeds, unripe mango, orange peal, cumin, coriander seeds, hay, liquorice root, cereal, dried pineapple and hints of freshly cut grass and resin. Mouthfeel is intense, slightly boozy, very tiny tart and medium to full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with dark bread, wood, ash, lemon balm, orange peal and dill. Strange but good...

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Black color, almost brown head, not long lasting. Aroma’s: herbal, medicinal, drop, roasted malts, bit alcohol (retronasal mainly drop & roast). Flavor is roasted, lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Alcoholfeel not too strong, body is medium. Finishes somewhat herbal, droppy, medium bitter. Quite special

33cl bottle thanks to ’the suddenly bald’ Dutchdrebus (see: www.spoelenmaar.nl) @ QDT’12. Pitch black opaque color, medium sized light brown head that leaves a nice lacing. Smell malts, dark malts, light roastyness, lightly coffee, moccha and earth. Taste malts, dark and roasted malts, a slight sweetness, decently bitter, lovely balance! Medium carbo, full body, medium oily texture.

First rating with a bald head. Bottle @ QDT’12. Opague black colour with a decent off-white to light brown head. Smells coffee, oak, some sweetness. Tastes hops, peat, oak, wood, weird. Okay carbo, medium body.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour, thin light brown head. Aroma of coffee, bubblegum, sweet tropical fruits, chocolate, a bit of pipe tobacco. Flavour is medium sweet, hard roasted malts, strawberries, coffee, some dark fruits, alcohol, firm and slightly sharp hoppy and roasted malt bitter finish with a bit of citrus. Medium to fullbodied, soft carbonation. Pretty good, but I prefer the barrel aged versions so far.

Bottle from Klooster shared. Black pour with a nice beige head. Coffee, pine and fresh hops in aroma. Sweet caramel, chocolate, roasted flavor with the sorachi ace coming through but not overpoweringly so. Works better than I expected it would.
