Dig the dab-alicious, savor the stank, Leafy Greens presents an increase by orders of magnitude in dab-aliciousness. Certain hops, particularly CTZ, are known for their familiar, pungent aroma. Scientific examination has proven that Humulus Lupulus is a member of the Cannabaceae Family, which may explain its dab-alicious aromas and flavors. Ponder these branches of the family tree while enjoying this mellow IPA with friends, music, solid visuals and readily available munchies.

Project Humulus Lupulus is a rotating series of hop centric beers which pushes the boundaries of brewing creativity. These beers allow our brewers to get innovative and crazy, all while creating a dance party on our taste buds. Although the recipes will change, one constant will remain: pure hop tastiness.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated April 03, 2018. Aroma is hop forward with a medium light malt note. Lots of citrus with grapefruit and orange along with some resin and pine notes. Quite a bit of woodsy, dank notes. Some llcracker malt notes with hints of caramel.and biscuit. Pours a fairly clear, golden copper color with a medium sized, thick, white head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor has a medium light to moderate sweetness with medium light cracker malt notes and hints of caramel. Moderately strong bitterness and light alcohol spice. Moderately strong hop notes with lots of pine, resin, woodsy dank notes and lighter grapefruit and orange. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice West Coast IPA. Lots of dank hop notes but it's a bit malty. The malt works with the dank hop profile, but I would still prefer less malt.

Tasting at Matt's
Hazy golden color. The hop aroma is moderate, resiny and weedy. Lean mouthfeel, a bit caramelly but not sticky, resiny hops.
Somewhere between old and new school, drinkable.

22 oz. bottle, pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of leafy hops, some dank herbal notes, and biscuity malt. Flavour is a little more pleasant (less harsh), with dank leafy hops, some pine, herbal notes, and crisp biscuity malt. Dank, bitter finish. Solid old school IPA.

Light amber. No head. Maybe a touch of haze but not a lot. Has some dank, some bitter orange, and the malts are a bit chewy. Mostly chewy malts, some moderate bitterness. A touch watery. This isn't bad, a bit old school...brightish but a touch more brightness would really light this up.

Bottle from Brewers Haven. Medium amber body, initial thick head fades to creamy skin. I'm getting some caramel malts in the aroma, butterscotch, gingerbread. Taste brings in some hoppiness, lightly dank, not nearly what I expected after reading the description. Still a lot of malts there, some floral, jujube bitterness. Its good, but I thought it would be better.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear brassy gold with a nice white head. Aroma verges on dank. The malt comes across like a dessert bakery item. Madelaine kind of thing. Med ++ body. Flavor is just on the dank side. Lots of hop. Mostly piney stuff for me. The malt is not so much roasty, as, stated above, something like a little dessert baked thing. So it’s not 100% dry, but pretty dry. It’s really very hoppy, and pretty bitter, but it’s not a burning harsh bitter. Mouth is in hop heaven, but not in a burning way. This hopping is something off the beaten, drown it in hops, path. I really appreciate that something new is presented. New to me anyway.

Can. Pours clear orange, medium white head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is super dank and potty, greens indeed. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, dank as fuck, some pine with your pot as a bit of a bonus. Hints of orange zest. A bit of heat as well. Medium body. Pretty solid beer.
