Bottl. Hazy dark brown Pour with a medium beige head. Aroma is a boozy, sweet loads of caramel malts, vanilla, earth barrel and bready. Silky mouth feel, soft carb. Boozy barrel finish with big caramel and toffee notes with hints of whiskey, and sweet, sticky malts.
A red copper ale with a very thin light mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, alcohol warmth, light treacle, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light vinous character, alcohol warmth, treacle, very nice. On tap at brewery.

Brassin 185 - written 0358 on side of label. Hazy, slightly unfiltered, dark amber colour with a creamy-frothy beige head, very nice retention and some thick foamy lacing. Nutty aromas at first with raisins, dates and bread notes. Then, the sugars come out with hints of apples. The taste is smooth with a nice blend of caramel malts, dark fruits and some good bitterness in the finish. Goes down quite well, not being too rich. Just a touch of the Scotch peat in the background. A very drinkable Wee Heavy.

Tasting at SF’s
Dark amber color, hazy. The aroma is a bit soapy and metallic, some caramel, light cheese; not bad, but weird. The body is lean, moderate sweetness, nice biscuity caramel base, a bit too much booze, some Bourbon.
Not too complex, but it’s a quite good beer.

650ml bottle at Brian’s office. Hazy amber with a tan head. Aroma is fruity and bready. Taste is sweet, similat to aroma. An ok one.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bourbon barrels, caramel, toffee, and brown sugar. Flavour is very similar, with heavy bourbon barrels, lots of sweet caramel and brown sugar. Very sweet, but not too cloying. Very nicely made.

Muddy brown. The nose is sweet, just a touch of brown sugar, with a bit of peachiness. On the palate, quite sweet, touch of toffee, golden raisins, maybe a hit of alcohol in the finish. I like the sweet elements, but some of the other things - the alcohol in particular - kind of mess me up.

Bottle: Poured a dark burgundy color ale with a large off-white foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing notes. Aroma of dry caramelized malt notes with light toffee notes is quite pleasant. Taste is a mix of dry caramelized malt notes with some toffee and light dry fruits notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Well done and enjoyable even though I prefer the style with more peats notes and a sweeter finish.
