Pit Caribou strikes again. A wonderfully crafted east coast IPA. Astringent citrus and citrus rind hops and sweet malt on the nose. Deep, striking, and fresh hop bite from the Chinook hops leads the taste profile. Rich caramel malt and apricots underpin the hop lead. Nice richness and appropriate effervescence polish a great double.

Bottle - Sweet citrus and mango notes with a touch of Mandarin. Clear gold with a decent white head. Citrus and pithy notes with some candy notes.

Bouteille 500 ml. Effluves orangées surclassées par un gazon intense au premier nez. Le gazon s’intensifie au tournis, laissant à peine s’échapper d’autres aromes tels qu’un léger biscuit du malt et de subtiles fruits tropicaux. Le visuel nous donne un beau col de mousse recouvrant un liquide doré / orangé et voilé. Une belle dentelle se colle également au verre. L’entrée de bouche nous ramène cette amertume intense aux tons de gazon brulé, laissant en sourdine de légers fruits tels que l’orange et la mangue, trop peu présents à mon goût. Gustatif unidimensionnel. Complexité déficiente. L’alcool est cependant bien dissimulé et les saveurs maltées bien dosées. Je ne raffole pas de ces IPA au houblonnage à cru trop intense. Je laisse ça à d’autres qui j’en suis sur, s’en délecteront.

Bottle: Poured a yellow/orangey color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fresh citrusy notes with light undertones of apricot and peach is quite pleasant. Taste is a nice mix of fresh citrusy notes with some floral undertones notes and some residual sugar notes. Body is full with medium filtration and good carbonation. Solid IIPA with plenty of fresh hops characteristics and well balanced ABV.

Bouteille 500ml. Couleur jaune-orangée trouble, mousse beige laissant une belle dentelle. Atome de mangue, houblon résineux, malt. Goût de malt, un peu sucré, houblon résineux, agrumes, amertume moyenne. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen-dense.
