Can from Gedeelde Vreugde. Pours hazy dark brown with a lasting, stable, thick, foamy, tan head. Aroma of walnut, pistachio, mocha, milk chocolate, dried tea leaves, dried fig, nutmeg. Taste has sweetish fig, biscuit, hard apple resting on a firm nutty body, accentuated by herbs, coffee ground & spices, quite bitter in the middle but balanced by a caramel accent. Dry, herbal-earthy hoppy finish, quite nutty, lingering coffee, grapefruit peel, hard caramel. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Hefty bitter Brown Ale, good stuff.

16 oz can from Hops & Bottles. Dark brown pour with fizzy beige head. Roast malts and coffee make up the aroma. Taste offers a nice toasty, maltyflavor, with the coffee adding subtle bitter notes. Very well balanced.
