Big cork pop, slow rolling gusher. Right off the bat, it's got a big, bretty, leathery aroma. Hazy and a bit dull looking. But it's the aroma I'm focused on. Nice carbonation, and a bit of sweetness somehow, fresh-tasting, nice balanced leather and brett, but that bit of refinement that comes from the candied lemon note makes this excellent.

750mL bottle at DHVL. Pours murky blonde with a white head. Dusty old wood on the nose. Flavour has a ton of old wood, musty furniture. Great old, musty, woody character. This is an excellent geuze.

Hazy orange, small, frothy, white head. Aroma of orange zest, green apple, straw, barnyard, musty cellar, cheese rind, gooseberry, leather, some parsley. Tatse has sour green apple, plum, gooseberry and citric (orange) acid sitting in a sourdough-malty profile with a spicy bitter thyme accent, bit lactic and leathery too. Long, tart finish of funky orange, soft woody tannins, bitter old grassy hops, straw, parsley & thyme (lending a peppery effect as well). Medium body, moussy texture, fizzy carbonation. Complex; still very lively, characterful and spicy. A treat!

Bottle. Bottled 17th of May 2011. Still very lively, open with a loud bang of the cork, happy to get out of the bottle with a lot of foam. Color: Lightly hazy golden to amber, large, fast diminishing foamy off-white head. Aroma: Funky, fruity and some oak wood. Taste: Lively carbonation, citrus fruit, gooseberry, rural funk, minerals, oak wood. Moderate to over moderate tart. Dry, astringent finish. Never had a Geuze this age before. Very nice experience.

Many Thanks for this Lambic to Tderoeck. Anniversary blend 1991-2011. Bottled in 17 may 2011.Gigantyczna, nie do opanowania i nie bez arcy waznej sciereczki podczas nalewania/rozlewania piana. lambic jest niesamowicie owocowt morele, brzoskwinie, cos jak Fou Foune Cantillona, mineralne, bardzo mineralne, dzikie skorzane, stajnia i siano. w smaku kwasne, kwasno-owocowe z subtelna miazszowoscia moreli. doskonale, doskonale pijalne, Lambic prawie 10-cio letni i starzony kilka lat w mojej piwnicy doskonale oddal to co oczekiwalem do swiatecznego obidau. TIM Great Thanks fior this Amazing Lambic. Cheers to all for this christmas!
