Poured from the tap. Cloudy orange with white head. Tropical hops, mild citrus, funk, attic mildew.

Can: Poured a cloudy golden color ale with a nice pure white large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of tropical notes with some citrusy undertones is quite nice. Taste is also a great mix of tropical notes with some citrusy undertones and some residual sugar notes. Body is quite full with great carbonation. Super enjoyable juicy IIPA but not sure I could really detect the Saccharomyces Trois notes.

On tap. Pours a super thick turbid white yellow with moderate head. Honesty it looks ugly... Aromas of muffled tropical fruit, lemons and wet malts. Flavors of pithy grapefruit, pine, and thick wheat-like malts. Odd and interesting.

Jan 2020 batch. This beer forever changed Twin Sails, both their approach to product and to marketing. There weren't that many beers like it in Vancouver at the time, either. So it's a good beer to revisit. Some haze, light amber. Big frothy thick head. A fair bit of alcohol on the nose, and more of an earthy, allium sort of hop nose. On the palate, there's a lot of sweetness, and definitely those malts are sticky. A fair bit of bitterness, and then a lot of alcohol in the finish, which only adds to the bitterness. The hops aren't especially bright, mostly amarillo I'd say but a bit of allium/cheese stuff in either case - neither is showcased anywhere near its best. It's still not that exciting for me, or my favourite, but yeah, this beer changed the brewery completely. First batch. draft at the brewery. Muddy, deep hop nose. The yeast shows through. Rich hoppiness, light fruitiness, shows maybe a touch of diacetyl.

Tall can from the brewery. Pours a cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, stone fruits, apricots and wild yeasts notes. Taste is slightly sour, fruity, piney hops. Very good, but not enough original gravity though as for Double IPA.

2020-02-02, draught at the brewery, 8.1% ABV, 6-3-7-4-13=33
Cloudy golden colour, no head. Mild aroma of resinous hops. Shabby malts, the mouthfeel overall is a bit oily; strong bitterness, with decent hop quality, undefined fruit, piney resins.
Chaotic, not as good as I remembered it.

Canned 3 months ago, I have to give that it's holding up well, the hops still have a nice fruity, juicy and pungent character, and overall it's not even getting too mellow; the pale malt, being so delicate, probably helps in this sense.

The citrus fruit aroma is stronger than the beer from tap, it has cedar fruit, light dank resins, almonds. Good mouthfeel, lean, crisp malt flavor, and bright resiny, piney hops with a touch of tropical fruit and citrus peel.
Excellent.

Cloudy golden color. Fruity, jammy, orangey, full bodies, moderately sweet, but I also start sensing some diacetyl. Hence a bit harsh on the final.

2016-09-23, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver; 10oz, 7-4-7-3-14=35
Cloudy, even murky, orange-blond color with small compact head. Aroma of juicy hops, mild piney resins, and a hint of spicy yeast. Lean body, quite drinkable for the high gravity, with just a moderate sweetness level; the malts are delicate, not very evident, they don't get in the way of the hops, that are juicy, but the yeast character clashes a bit with them.
Nice but noisy.
I will have it again, I may like the canned one more.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice blast of piney and resinous hops, followed by the wild yeast, and a soft biscuity malt backbone. Flavour follows accordingly, with a wonderfully complex blend of piney and resinous hops, and the wild yeast. Really a great harmony between the hops and yeast. Dry finish, with just enough malt to back. Excellent.

Draft - Mandarin and mango fruitiness. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Bitter and tropical fruit with a touch of booze. Decent.
