473ml can from the brewery. Pours a hazy yellow with a big off white head. Aroma is very vinous, lots of earthy barrel and wood with some solid tropical fruity hops. A lovely tartness has been emparted by the barrel, almost like brett was added. The finish is bitter and sour with alot of vinous white grape woodiness.

A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light candy sugar, light Brett, light lactic notes, light ground cherry, very nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light curacao, Brett, light lactic notes, resinous hops, light cork, alcohol warmth, very nice and complex. On tap at Brother’s Beer Bistro.

Tasting at Matt’s; cork; 10% ABV
Cloudy blond color, generous head. Very nice aroma, funky, a bit fruity too. Nice body strength; astringency is the main character, Brett presence is huge, and it has a lot of bitter orange, and a mild vinous character. A bit dirty, but to be fair the bottle was shaken.
Aggressive, very nice.

Bottle - Funky sweet and almost anise like notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet, bitter and funky with some nice barrel notes. Decent.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a medium white head. Aroma is lovely, with very complex yeasts, lots of brett, a little dry oak from the chardonnay, and funk. Flavour is extremely complex, with loads of barnyard funk upfront, followed by oaky chardonnay, and a fairly subdued but definitely present tartness. Complex, wonderfully balanced and dynamic. Fantastic stuff.

Can from the brewery. Murky light orange with a generous white head that lingers. Dominant white wine and wood on the nose with a generous helping of green fruit and citrus and a supporting light toffee along with a yeasty spiciness. Light sweet fruit supports the medium tartness of grape and a bit of cherry. Light woodiness is evident in the finish. Medium slick mouth with fine carbonation and lingering tart finish. Princess works much better with this ageing.

Enjoyed at the National Capital Craft Beer Week. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a frothy white head and some dirty lacing. Sour and vinegar nose with some light fruits. Smooth, and no alcohol burn. Wet mouthfeel and medium-bodied. Wow ! Very well-blended between a sour ale and a fruity Belgian one. Quite interesting and very easy to drink for such a strong brew.

This is really nice. Barrel adds a great aroma and comes on a little heavy, or perhaps it’s the other elements that just aren’t super strong. Belgian floral hops, some sweet malt. Pours cloudy golden with decent head and lacing. Very nice palate and leave. Some bitterness and a touch of tang that comes together well. Soft carbonation. Tap at Barhop.
