6/12/2011 33cl bottle @ Backdoor, Gent - BB: 12/12 (2011-696)
Clear orange beer, small off-white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: very malty, bit sweet, honey, flowers, wet forest, little fruity. MF: ok carbon, full body. Taste: bit fruity, wild honey, sweet malts, sweet sparkling wine, bit hoppy. Aftertaste: citrus fruits, tobacco, leather, somewhat rotten fruits, bitter hoppy finish, dairy (cheesy) notes as well. Would be a good aperitif. Of course my bottle was 2 years old already. Probably a fresh one will be different.

Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Starts strong, fine spicy, a bit alcoholic, but not too much. Finish well balanced, some fruity hints, modest sourish. Not bad.

Hazy golden with a big white head. Fruity aroma with pineapple and peach and some grassy and herbal notes. Sweet fruity flavour with herbal notes and some yeasty character

Bottle @ Early Winter Tasting, Odense, 2011. Pours hazy golden with a frothy white head. Fruity and yeasty nose. Marmelade and orange. Kiwi and tropical fruit. A bit of warmth. Full bodied. Dry hoppy end.

Orange golden colour, white head. Fruity nose, malts, hops, quite a lot of yeast character. Flavour malty sweet, quite bitter, spicy, apricot and light banana. Finish pronounced bitter with some lingering fruity sweetness.

(Draught at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm, 24 Sep 2011) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried apricots, orange and marzipan. Malty, fruity taste with marzipan, apricots, orange and an aromatic, slightly spicy, sweet finish with a certain alcohol bite. Almost full body, with some candy sweetness. Solid, tasty and nice.

Draft @ Delirium, Brussels. Dorée, orangée claire, col blanc épais. Arôme, levure belge, sucré doux avec malt caramel, impressionde frutis fermentés. Bière qui donne un profile trop alcoolisé sous des notes de levure belge. Cet alcool reste trop présent un cache un peu le reste de la dégustation. Je note des pointes de fruits, abricot et pêche et autres fruits résiduels. Limite liquoreuse avec un peu de caramel et au fini une note de houblon pour l’amertume.

Bottle at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Dark golden / light orange color. Decent smell, pretty nice taste though not really special. Nice mouthfeel, nice beer.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange. White head. Nose of pear, orange peel, sweet malt, banana and yeast. Taste is same with lots of spicy hops, water taffy and some warming alcohol in the finish. Sprinkling of coriander sweetness. Medium body.
