1 March 2025. At Winter Belgian Beer Geek Gathering. Many thanks to hosting, Tim & Marina, and cheers to the whole crew!

Tawny port, bourbon, black olive, teriyaki, raisin, fig, tobacco, brambleberries, wood, ink. Sweet raisin, fig, prune, brambleberries; thick dark-chocolatey, toasty and pecan-nutty maltiness, hint of wood. (Black-)peppery hops, dried fruits, more wood, tobacco, bit roasted but not overly so. Warming port & bourbon alcohol. Touch of vanilla. Full body, oily texture. Complex aged profile. Stunning! Deserves a longer sipping session, alas impossible. Thanks again, Tim!

Opaque pitch black color, small beige head. Aroma is malts, distant smokey notes, dried black fruit. Flavor is malts, dark malts, dried raisins, the liquor is there but definitely aged. Past it's prime I think. 8-7-7-8-7

Bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Winter Gathering. Pours dark with a deep tan head. Aroma brings dark malts, coffee roast, bourbon influence. Continues to taste with a very well integrated bourbon presence, additional dried dark fruits and ostensible port notes add a nice touch. Excellent sipper with great depth.

Bottle at Belgian Beer Geeks Gathering. Very dark brown with tan head. Tobacco, licorice, bourbon, toffee, bitter earthy oak, plums, brown sugar. Solid sweet but also quite bitter. Full bodied with dry tannic finish. Nice.

Clear dark maroon brown beer, small creamy irregular beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lovely, oxidized notes, lots of vanilla, some alcohol, a hint of cardboard, slightly roasted, a bit dusty. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: nice, malty, alcohol, caramel, a bit oxidized, some chocolate, notes, gentle bitterness, a touch of sweetness, lovely beer! Aftertaste: dusty, a hint of cardboard, oxidized, yeasty, caramel, vanilla, some whisky, roasted, good stuff!

Bottle @ Belgian Winter gathering 01 March 2025 – Tim’s place, thanks Tim.

Bottle - Lots of bourbon, nutty notes and chocolate. Jet black with a light brown head. Little Woody notes, coffee and dark chocolate with some nice bitterness. Nice balanced and well done.
