Poured from a 200 ml bottle, recolte 2013.
Aroma is full of caramel layers, spiced fruit, overripe pear, candied fruit, roast pear and honey.
Pours a dark ruby, amber, auburn color with no head. No lacing and very long legs.
Flavor is rather sweet with lots of dried fruits, caramels, spiced fruit cake, candied and caramelized pears. Light alcohol notes. Medium light honey notes.
Mouthfeel is full bodied with no carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a solid ice perry. Really nice, complex pear notes with layers of caramelization. Some age and oxidation is bringing out some honey notes.

200 ml bottle thanks to Travlr. 2013 vintage. Deep amber color. Aroma is apples, old pears, malt. Flavor is a downgrade. Old apples, caramel, brown bread. Odd aftertaste. Gene noted that the cork didn’t pop or make any noise. To much air got it this.

Old brew and dark colored, 2013. Nose is toasted caramel and candied pear. Tastes some pear, thick caramel sugar like crème brûlée, vegetal, wood and shows the age. Ok perhaps too much oxidation.

Corked bottle, as Domaine des Salamandres Poiré de Glace Cuveé Controverseé, vintage 2013
Amber color. Wonderful aroma of caramelized pineapple pie. Sweet, thick and luscious; the acidity is a bit too moderate, it has interesting notes of caramelized sugars, fruit cake; very nice, not as complex as the best ones but still excellent.

Bottle - Vintage 2013 - Cooked sweet fruit and a touch of tropical fruit. Clear gold. Sweet and fruity, light pear and a long sweet finish. The lack of acidity makes this great to drink without food.

2013 vintage. 200mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with no head. Aroma brings out toffee, caramel, and baked pears. Flavour is quite soft, with notes of stewed pears, caramel, and toffee. Medium sweetness, with only a touch of alcohol burn. Complex and vanilla-y on the finish. No acidity. Excellent.

A golden ice perry with a nice smooth mashed pear aroma, wild grass, very nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet pear jam with light spicy notes, maple toffee, very nice and sweet, oily mouthfeel. Bottle at Bieres et Saveur, Sept.3 2011.
